Using kind manners

River poured water into the hole. Ali said "thank you" and River learned how to say "you're welcome".
Momo is working with great focus. She is looking at her hands and concentrating on her cutting skills. She is letting the others around her do their activity without interfering.

There's a giant on the farm!!
Harriet is engrossed in her story. She is happy playing alone today and is enjoying using her imagination.

Something nice to say...
Charlie and Areeb are sharing the mobilo.
Areeb said "look at what I have made".
Charlie said "that's cool".
 Areeb said "thank you".

Story telling through pictures

Roya drew a picture on the chalk board all morning. She talked about how it was a picture of the tree her and Momo always climb. Roya uses lots of detail in her pictures.

Working Together

These children worked together as a team to dig a deep river. They filled it with water. They learnt to tip a little bit of water in at a time or else we will get muddy water splashed all over us!

Making track mazes

Isaac, River, Sammy, Levi, Isaiah and Moroni made tracks with chalk. They then followed their tracks to find their way out of the maze.

Joining In

Harriet felt confident and joined a group of Room 8 children who were making a giant out of chalk. She gave the giant a lollipop in one of his many hands.

It was very busy at the mask making table today.

Responsibility

We are practising responsibility when we wait for our turn.

We love being creative with the beads. We are choosing shapes and colours carefully. We share the beads and help each other if we are stuck.

Taking responsibility for my learning

Isaac, today you chose a space where you could focus on your task. You concentrated hard and have almost completed a colourful mask.

Thinking of others

Cullen began making a set of Little Red Riding Hood puppets. Then he came to ask for more puppets because he wanted to make a set for his brother - what a kind boy you are, Cullen :)

Staying focused

Levi chose to make Little Red Riding Hood finger puppets straight away.  He coloured, cut and made the finger puppets all on his own. Levi worked hard until they were finished - he was proud of the finished product.  Well done, Levi!

Being careful with our belongings

We are being very careful with the rubber bands - making sure they don't fling off or snap.  Isaac decided to change from loom bands to rubber band boards, so he packed up the loom bands before he moved.  Well done everyone!
Paw Law Eh is making a necklace with the beads. Look at her concentrating. She has to be careful so that she doesn't lose the beads.

Taking Responsibility - Looking after our things

We are sharing the new dolls' house. We are giving each other space but still playing together.

We are lucky to have a new dolls' house and we are taking care when we play with it. We are being responsible together.

Taking Responsibility - Learning

Elijah is being a responsible learner. He has all the things he needs for his writing. He is sitting at his table and is focusing on his learning.

Taking Responsibility - Learning

Kingi is a responsible learner. He is sitting in his seat and is getting the things he needs ready. Kingi is a good writer and is showing that he knows what he has to do without being asked.

Persevering with a challenge

These engineers are working with the materials to make the best path for the tennis balls and marbles to go down into the basket.
